Too bad we could put signs like that on the borders of the city.

Yeah, that's going a little overboard I think. (by the way, good eyes. How did you read that?! lol)

90% of the bars that I have worked in or frequented have a by-pass switch underneath the bar for the juke box. They just happen to be the one to tell you ahead of time. I guess if your in a biker bar and you decide to play gangsta rap then they will switch songs on you.
Personally I think its fine. If you do not like it then you can always go to another bar.
Whats overboard is that the bleeding hearts in this country seem to think that we have to cater to everyone and every taste......If you don't like it then too bad is what I say.
Sideways hats, baggie pants and white t-shirts....We do not live in Compton, this is NEPA and if you think that you are some gangsta Ole G then maybe you should move to the hood and see how long you really last.

Exactly. It should be up to the bar owner what type of crowd he wants to cater to in his own personal business. If the "gangsta rap" types don't like it, they can find somewhere that will cater to their crowd...there's enough of those types of bars in the city....and they're usually the nuisance bars, go figure....places like the old Broadway, Tony and Mary's, the Bil-Shiree come to mind.

I agree WeLuvPA. I was at that country Bar in in Dunmore and saw all the fake hicks trying to act like a bunch of Texans. Listening to Country Music, wearing Levis and Cowboy boots.
I hate the bleeding hearts in the area that cater to everyone and their every taste. Walking around with side holsters like they are in the old west.
What a bunch of ignorant, fools. We need to gather them all up and deport them back to Texas. If you want to act like some Good Ole Boy, why not move to West Texas and see how long you really last.

It's not always on the juke. The husband and I once in a while stop in a small bar not too far from the house. The regular patrons are mostly older guys. The jukebox is full of old guy music, old rock and roll, country.
Have you ever watched a situation unfold when you knew exactly what was going to happen? A group of young guys comes into the bar, order a round of drinks, wander over to the jukebox (their ears are starting to bleed from the Willie Nelson assault) and seeing nothing in the lineup that they want to play, go to search/additional selections. You know what they're going to play, don't you? Death metal, every single time. The regulars start to complain to the bartender and the song is kicked along with the rest of their selections.

Most of the bars in Plymouth are nuisance bars and they play classic rock and country. Go figure.
I just don't understand why you would have music on a jukebox in your establishment that you won't play in the first place. Seems kind of stupid. Why not replace the song with one you will allow to be played?

I'll bet the crime rates are much lower among those who wear 10-gallon hats and cowboy boots and listen to country music, than among those who listen to gangsta rap and wear flat brimmed cockeyed hats and big baggy pants with underwear showing. Not to say that nobody who listens to country is a criminal, or that all hiphop/baggy pants people are criminals, but you can't argue that on the average, the country crowd is more law-abiding and productive members of society than the rap crowd.
