I agree. You know the seafood in NE PA is lousy when it doesn't get much better than Red Lobster.

Another thing we're lacking in this area is good BBQ. Southern BBQ. But I have a feeling that good BBQ would not be appreciated in NEPA. I know I would appreciate it.

I heard that we are getting a Joe's Crab Shack up there, don't know
how true it is, or where exactly it's supposed to be built in the complex.

You mean Smokey Bones doesn't do it for you? LOL. My husband complains about the bbq around here all the time. He's used to traveling in the south for work and having REAL bbq.

I actually don't mind Smokey Bones, because there's not much better around here...but its still not real BBQ. I was not happy when they closed Smokey Bones in Dickson City and it was replaced by Quaker Steak and Lube (yuck).

I had some good BBQ in Ocean City, MD, and now I'm craving it....

Part of me is saying "not another chain", but I ate at Joe's in Pittsburgh and I really liked it. And that would fill some of the Seafood void in the area.

"Crabcakes and football...it's what maryland does!"

But Boog's is awesome...the best is at Camden Yards though...little expensive, but the man is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet...let alone for a great oriole.

For those looking for a BBQ pit..there is an EXCELLENT one in Hamlin...only open on weekends but they have a great thing going on! They have it all down to a science and bring in a good crowd...beef ribs, pork ribs and chicken, fresh cut from real potatoes french fries...all kinds of salads and the best corn on the cob. There is an ice cream stand as well with plenty of outdoor seating...picnic tables ...and garden hoses to 'wash off'....Kundla's...across the street from Weis supermarket.

I second that!! It is run by a very nice family and the food is excellent. I believe they are open during the week some days during the summer.
