This was a good article in the River Reporter about the state of the dairy industry. Although this relates specifically to Wayne county, it really applies to the entire country. I am working with a local organic farmer now to start a cow share where 7 of us would go in on a cow and take one day a week to milk it. The quality of the dairy typically available in supermarkets in deplorably low, and as more dairy comes from overseas, the situation is bound to get worse.

Merman, An interesting article and an important one. That is pretty good what you are doing with the cow. I do not drink milk anymore, especially with all the hormones I heard they are injecting into the cows. It is issues like this that affect us all.
