Default wish to move to moosic area

I am looking to move to Moosic area or Taylor. Need 3 bedrooms I am 68 yrs old with a soon to marry 19 yr old granddaughter and her fiancee. she is looking for a Library Asst job as she is one in the Edgewater one for the past year where we live in NJ. I have been thru Moosic and love the area and I am looking for low rent. What are the chances of her a job and us an apt or 1/2 a double or even rent a trailer for $500 or near it???

As someone who lives five minutes away from Moosic, I can tell you that you'll have no trouble finding cheap rent and a nice neighborhood to settle yourselves down in. The people of this town are friendly, and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you find your way around the area (I know I would if I lived up there). ;o) Moosic doesn't have a large amounts of apartments for rent---It's mostly a single-family home town (With most of the newer growth being in the ritzy "Glenmaura" section near the stadium) Nearby Old Forge and Pittston both offer MANY affordable half-doubles and apartments, so you should expand your search to each of these towns as well (Old Forge borders Moosic on the West, and then Pittston borders Old Forge to the south, just over the county line). Like the other posted stated, visiting the Scranton Times online and searching their classifieds is going to be your best bet.

As far as a position as a librarian is concerned, I'm honestly not sure what to tell you. There are MANY wonderful libraries in the Scranton area, but I always see them fully-staffed. I suppose if your granddaughter submits applications, she'll find a position somewhere. Even if it's not a library, there ARE openings around here for receptionists, secretaries, etc. that are relatively-similar to what she does now. I wish you the best of luck in your move, and keep me in mind for future questions! I actually helped a man and his fiancee in the past relocate from Brooklyn to Pittston via the internet and a personal meeting, so you have my help if interested. ;o)
