Ecam.......beleive it or not...I'd say most weren't even tapping their feet!!! Until the last 3 or 4 songs though...then people started to boogie...and sing.

Glad you had a good time. One more question, did they do their first hit, 'Go Now'? This song was done before Justin Hayward joined the band.

We had seen the Moody Blues Before. This time they did 3 tunes from "Octave" (Standing in a Slide Zone, Driftwood and The Day We Meet Again). I had never heard these live before. Nights in White Satin sounded different with an electric guitar rather than an acoustic. Actually it was really neat.....

Ed...I don't know if they did Go Now...I don't know that song. Lately, I've been listening to Moody Blues Greatest Hits, and most of them were played. They did play for over 2 hours, which was great. It is a small place compare to going to Madison Square Garden, so it was an awesome place to see a concert. It was definitely the best concert I have ever been to in a very long time. Well...the last 2 were Spice Girls and NSync....so...this was 'different'...GOOD different!!
I do wish the crowd was as into it the entire concert as they were for the last 3 songs.....

A few more comments from the Veteran Cosmic Moodyfan!
Every year I see these guys they tweak the song lineup a tad here, a tad there. Lately the song that gets a great response is "One More Time To Live", written by John. It's off the Every Good Boy Deserves Favour lp. A good reason for it too.
With Ray Thomas on the flute and Mike Pinder on mellotron, synthesizer, etc., their song lineup was a LOT different, especially as that lp came out in October of 1971. I've seen these guys in 4 different decades, and the times I saw them on the 1972 tour "One More Time to Live" was not done at all, other songs that were written by Ray and Mike WERE, though.
Same with the intro cut from the Childrens Childrens release. At the start of their 1970 and 1971 tours that song was played, and then after they reunited in 1978 "Higher And Higher" was scrapped. Until a couple years or so ago, and their version of it now is SO good! The Moodies were always pretty good making sure each of the members (Graeme Edge, the drummer included) would get to play pretty much an equal amount of songs.
These two songs come across exceptionally well on these past two tours. One song that was dropped was also from the EGBDF lp, and that is "Emily's Song", another John Lodge tune. That song, by the way, was written just shortly after John's daughter, Emily, was born.
CHASIE! That's good news on the Octave release. "Driftwood" is my favorite cut off Octave; "The Day We Meet Again" is good too! It sounds like they have been moving the song selection again, that's a good thing!
It sounded like a GREAT show!

The only other time I saw the Moody Blues was at the Allentown Fairgrounds. This was in the early '90s. Chicago opened for them. That was a decent show.
DOUBLE H...I really enjoy Octave. Most of the reviews I've ever read on it were so so at best.
