If anyone has had the opportunity to attend Homeowner's Association Meetings - they get very heated.

Much like Scranton city council meetings, where Dan was always very outspoken against the mayor and council and he had very good reason to.

As I read more and more and talk to different people, it seems the so-called victim started this and apparently went to attack Dan and Dan needed to defend himself. The victim has a prior police record and was cursing up a storm in the argument. Not a very classy individual and that fact that he's arguing about property that's not even his, it's his girlfriend's. I heard he lied to the police about Dan ever threatening him verbally. I'm going with Dan on this one, just from the information I'm getting, but again it's all speculation at this point.

A hot headed decision to get a gun and threaten someone with it. I feel that aside from physically threatening someone, and even that to an extent, there is no reason anyone should use a gun to get their point across. There could of been worse consequences to this, just glad that it didnt end in someone getting seriously hurt or even worse dead.

I agree. Pulling out a gun whether you have intent to use it or not is never the answer, BUT. Mr. Thompson, a large man, appeared intoxicated. He was out of control, threatening, aggressive and provoking. His statements that Dan pointed a gun at him and said, "I'll shoot you" are blatantly false statements. He's made other false statements to the police that he'll be held accountable for criminally and civilly at a later date. He may also have an issue with libel and slander as the result of this article being published.
It was Mr. Thompson who entered Mrs. Hubbard's property like a madman by launching himself over the porch railing in an attempt to physically attack Mr. Hubbard, nearly knocking Mrs. Hubbard to the floor in the process. So, it seems like this is another side to the story that the paper chose not to print.

Well I know there are two sides to the story. I dont think the cops would of arrested someone on heresay that they threatened them with a gun. I would think that the cops have the weapon. But as you say and I totally agree with, there are two sides to the story. But I always say there are three sides to a story and usually the third one is the truth.
