What kind of a community is this? Is it safe? Reasonable to live? Please advise.

Arrowhead Lakes is a gated community, that has security and is safe, imo.

I don't live there, but we build homes in there, and work in there daily...and I have met many, many great folks that are happy to live there.

In the summer months, there are a lot of vactioners there, and there are a large number of homes that are rented out, so many people buy vacation homes there not only for themselves, but as an investment to make money for themselves.

There is an HOA, and alot of amenities, such as pools, lakes, tennis courts..they have a lot of activities for families, kids, teens and seniors.

If buying a lot in Arrowhead Lakes as opposed to an existing home, (or anywhere in the Pocono's for that matter) it is important to ask 1) Is it possible to hook up to the communities sewer, as there has been a moratorium & not all areas can tap into the system at this time in Arrowhead (can't wait till they lift that!!) and 2) Has the lot had a wetland delineation? There are lots that are completely wetlands in Arrowhead, thus making them unbuildable. As long as there are no wetlands in your building envelope, you're ok...
