Anyone here send their kids to Catholic schools in the Scranton diocese?
I was wondering if anyone here has any kids in the diocese schools, I just have a question regarding tuition. I know its around $2,000/year for elementary and $5,000/year for high school, but I have heard that there is financial aid available and that a good number of people qualify. How much aid do they usually give out?

No, it's actually almost $2500 at the elementary level, and then $500 fundraising fee. The schools are slowly but surely closing unfortunately, we decided to switch to public this year

Aid is different depending on your financial situation. I suggest you call the office at the school and ask about the process.

While my son goes to public school his 3 cousins all go to catholic. Two in elem. and one in high school...they have multiple child discounts, scholarships for fin. needy etc. You need to talk to the schools.

Also, in order to qualify for the financial assistance you need to be Catholic, or at least in my day you had to be. BTW GP, I know why you are asking and the catholic schools aren't much better.
I'm still in a Catholic School Girl support group to deal with PTS. And in my day, while the kids at West and Tech were selling joints in the alleyways, the kids at some of the private "Catholic/Jesuit" schools were selling much worse and in larger amounts out of their school lockers.
