Ideally yes, this could work but you would actually NEED a police force to make it happen. As it stands, Scranton's force isn't that big for the area it covers. Some nights there are less than five officers on.

And before anyone gets their panties in a wad with the 'doomer' comments - I am NOT blaming the mayor... although.... if the shoe fits.

Saturation patrols are usually announced though in the paper. The 19 people picked up - most had outstanding warrants so it's not like they busted anyone 'new'. A mere 'after the fact' damage control spin tactic.

Lightbulb Joke

I'm sorry, call me a doomer if you wish, but I have lived in this area my whole life. It's a known fact that when drug dealers get arrested, even in large numbers, there are just as many to take their place. Drug dealers are people too. Which means they can organize their crimes in a way that makes sure their "operation" continues to run, while they do their petty cake walk county sentence. Then pick up right where they left off when they get out. Lets face it. The war on drugs is a joke. A funny one at that.
