Default Parking in Scranton - Meters

Anyone know what the rules are for meters. Is it correct that after 4:30pm you do not have to feed the meters?? Thanks,

i've been wondering about this, too-- i assume you do *not* have to feed the meters on saturdays? (as well as sundays..) haven't gotten a ticket yet on saturdays, but not sure if it's luck.

Wouldn't it be nice if they had this info ON the meters or on an occasional street sign ... sadly it isn't just Scranton that 'forgets' this. It is pretty common practice I think. No doubt it is worth quite a bit more revenue.

Well, at least 25 for 1/2 hour is not too bad. In NJ I was paying 25 for 12 minutes.

Well, I guess if you work for the county then the idea is that you would be exempt.

I believe you need to feed the meters between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. M-F. Weekend parking is free.

in wb,if you have a handicap card you get 1 free hr of meter parking(per meter reader)---in scranton the handicap meters are painted blue and have a high enough curb that you need a stepstool to get from you car seat to the sidewalk----can you guess which town is friendlier to the disabled???

In Scranton with a handicap, you pay, I do not believe there is any free minutes. I recall last year someone told me they stop checking the meters at 4:30pm. You would think they have some kind of a sign..........
