Default Ovalon, Cork, or Hottles?

I'd like to take some friends to dinner. Do you prefer Ovalon in Hazleton, Cork, or Hottles in Wilkes-Barre? FYI, I do not like seafood but my friends and family do so I need a place where I can also find something on the menu besides seafood. I appreciate your opinions.

I went to Hottles for the first time last month, and loved it. I'm not a seafood eater either, but there were several other choices. I got the chicken francese and thought it was delicious (and a big portion!).

Hottle's is a very fine choice, and when you're done there you can always saunter over to the movie theater to catch a flick, Blue Chip Gourmet for an ice cream, or to Barnes & Noble to see if there's a band playing. I've never eaten at Cork, but my one former professor used to eat there every week and raved about it.

Check out Oyster if you want to impress them. It's in the Genetti's complex on Market St in downtown W-B.

I agree with WBP. My husband took me there for our first date and it was really, really cool. Great atmosphere and very good food! We also went to Wisecrackers after that which is right around the corner.

Oyster looks great for me but probably a little too asian/thai for their tastes. They are my friends so I don't feel the need to impress them. I would like to take them somewhere good but reasonably priced (we are paying). While I'm thinking about it, is there a good japanese restaurant that cooks at your table in the Hazleton/Wilkes-Barre area you can recommend? We're just learning the area so I appreciate any help you can offer.
