Maybe the county commissioners can give them $500,000 to have the premier here....

Maybe they'll get "favorite son" Joe Biden.....oh wait, he's not stumping for votes, so he's not a "Scranton boy" now.

I would not support it. Why? Because it makes no sense to me.

I'm pretty sure, this guy whoever he is, would prefer having his "big premiere" in a big, famous, city like New York City (where the movie is about), or Los Angeles. I'm sure Scranton is a close third I'm sure, but I just don't see it happening. Let's get real here!

That is why it doesn't make sense to me. The movie is set in NYC - why would you open a movie that is so much about NYC in a place like Scranton?

To support the Executive Producer and Head Writer who happens to be a native of Scranton. So the movie is set in NYC what does that have to do with anything. Your arguement would mean that any movie set in China would have to have the premiere in China, movies set in Omaha would have those premieres, etc.

I just find it to be very sad and quite pathetic that people here cannot support a local person who has made it big in the world. I guess that's why so many leave and never come back to this city ever. Not talking about Michael here but other well known successful individuals.
