Default ex-Luzerne County judges indicted on 48 charges!

I will be taking up monetary donation's for these two creeps... It looks like these two rats will be needing at least 25 years worth of soap on a rope!. Finally, it appears REAL justice will be dealt out instead of that little slap on the wrist they were originally offered. This is what this county needs, they need to send a clear message that corruption, and criminal behaviour WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! And on the same day this indictment was handed down, "Law and Order" ran a re-run of the episode about what happened in Luzerne County. Did anyone see that last night?

I think they should put these clowns in Graterford, rather than some minimum security country club with a golf course!

This is still great news considering they were only facing a slap on the wrist (seven years). I have a feeling these two monsters will never see the outside of prison walls for the rest of thier lives now, and all they had to do is keep thier mouths shut, but they were so arrogant that they couldn't do it. They deserve life in prison, and I hope that's exactly what they get! Luzerne county residents will never be able to trust any government entity again because of these two bums, and all the others.

I hope the Luzerne county residents learn how to "trust" but verify. It is a sin what these judges did and I hope all get what is coming to them...but honestly there are good people in government...they just do not make headlines about them.

I know this may be slightly off-topic, but where does this ex-judge Lokuta really fit into this whole mess of a county judicial system? I read today in the TL her seemingly endless crusade for her old job was denied by a state Judicial Conduct Board.

She seems to be somehow slightly responsible for blowing the whistle on the two bad corrupt judges? Those same two corrupt judges testified against her at a state judicial hearing. And in hindsight this seems to be a retribution effect.

However, she clearly had her own not-so-insignificant problems, using courthouse employees to clean her house as only one example, (from witnesses at her judicial conduct hearing). Where were all the other Luzerne county judges when this was all going down? It's hard to believe they were all clueless and in the dark about everything?

Luzerne County seems to be better off without her in the courthouse?

Our prison population per capita is the highest in the world. We imprison more people for longer periods than any other country. And it costs us dearly. What does it accomplish? My feelings are that prison sentences as a whole are much too lengthy and accomplish nothing but satisfying the community's naked hunger for revenge. Make no mistake, these two judges committed horrible acts that ruined lives. But seven years is an awful long time to spend in confinement. That's more than enough time to punish them. Anything further is pure emotion, not logic.

You're 100% accurate in this statement. The media, especially TV and the Nancy Graces of this world, purposely mix up revenge with justice. It obviously sells more ads and and is good for her bank account.

Note that I'm not referring to the Luzrene county judges here. They deserve all they get in the name of justice.

she was scapegoated because SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN HONEST-----have known her since she was a kid---biggest problem----she told it like it was and was never good at kissing up!

THAT COURTHOUSE IS TOO CORRUPT TO SUSTAIN THE SURVIVAL OF AN HONEST PERSON!

While I agree that some prison sentences are absolutely ridiculous (2 years for having pot but 10 months for a rape) I feel no sympathy for these judges. They deserve what they get.
