I hate traveling to Lowes and Home depot. And Petro Ace hardware in Pittston is just a little to far for me too.

Also Doc's Fish Market will be opening up on Montage (Kildare's building)soon, They are hiring management and chefs on Craigslist (http://scranton.craigslist.org/fbh/1367718070.html - broken link)

And Guy from Allentown bought Portafino and just opened it back up.
Here is his website for his Allentown Restaurant.
Louie's Restaurant - an Allentown Tradition featuring the Lehigh Valley's famous Louie's Marinara Sauce from Louie and the Belletieri family

Get yourselves a Chick-Fil-A and maybe---just MAYBE---I'll consider moving back to "duh valley!" You folks who think Wendy's or KFC is "good chicken" don't know what you've been missing! I think Harrisburg finally has one, so they are creeping their way northward.

Hi ScranBarre, there is a Chick-Fil-A in the Lehigh Valley and one at the University of Scranton. I agree, they are the BEST!!! YUMMM! Now you got me hungry for one of their chicken sandwiches and cole slaw.

I have a friend who lives northeast of Philly who goes to it all the time (I had never heard of it before that) so they're getting there.....kind of like Sonic (which I think is also up to metro Philly and the NJ suburbs of NYC.....I mean in the sense of "creeping up to here" not the food, very different food....)

I wish we had a Popeyes chicken here...I now get my fix on 87 coming back from Long Island! Do you have any of those in the D.C. metro area?...I am going to be in your neck of the woods either in late October or early November.

There's a Chick-Fil-A in SCRANTON?! Oh my! It just jumped ahead of Wilkes-Barre for me as a potential spot to move when I move back!

Yes. We have Popeye's here, but I've never tried them. I've been too addicted to Chick-Fil-A!

We need an Eat 'n Park. My girls like the smiley face cookies. I just like the name, otherwise it's just another chain.
