You don't know anybody who moved into scranton in the last 10 years.
Your Chamber of Commerce President makes $165,000/yr to tell us how great it is that a new company is bringing 200 new jobs to Scranton which pay almost $7.00/hr.
For some strange reason, you know that Jermyn is the birthplace of first-aid.
You know someone who uses Genny beer balls as accent lighting.
You cant decide what's better Coney Island Hotdogs or Carawanna Burgers.

You read the paper each morning with eager anticipation because maybe today's the day that Ernie Preate will get his license to practice law back
You continue to vote for an idiot like Jim Connors.
You wish there was an alternative to the TIMES-TRIBUNE
You're not worried about that fire plug in front of your house working because your property has depreciated so badly you hope it burns.

Hey, I wanna know what happened to John Glaw, and I am NOT from Lackawanna County, and I agree Tom Clark dresses rather smartly....and I know the old mall vs. the new mall...and my husband's truck is more than 6 years old, and I know people who make wine, and....and...and...I ......say Troop.

An interesting thing about these lists...I got one in an email a while ago that was titled "You know You're from Pennsylvania...." Then a few weeks later, my husband's sister from St. Louis sent him one that said "You Know You're From Missouri If...." and with a couple of obvious local exceptions, the vast majority of the list was exactly the same - even declaring the first day of hunting season a school holiday....

I guess I just don't see all that much humor in them... *shrug*

That's hillarious, even if the list is horribly outdated (Jimmy Connors, Red Barons, etc. references).

I love these lists! Unlike Karen, I really have seen different lists according to the area. Belonging to a national birthclub, we once posted our area/state's "You know you're from..." lists and it was funny to see how different each area was. Good way to get to know people too!

"receiving lists in email with intermittent use of periods to end sentences" is probably one more to add.
