Nice I enjoyed the one about knowing every "wing night" at every bar, for everyday of the week, and have gotten into heated arguments about which establishment has the best..this is very true and I have done this. How about "you know you are in Wilkes-Barre when your courthouse has more felon's then your county jail does. Or how about "you know your in Wilkes-Barre when you have been living in Wilkes-Barre your entire life and still don't know the correct way to pronouce "Wilkes-Barre" Is it Wilkes-Berry, Wilkes-Bar, Wilkes-Barra, Wilkes-Bear? Who knows? We don't even know? How about one for the famous local slogan "Lionshead...The best head in town!" Something has to be said for that!

You know you are in Wilkes-Barre when... You still get teary eyed, and are still bitter about the closing of "Top Dog" the home of the 39 cent'rs all these years later!

A lot of these apply to Scranton too. Especially this one! I loved Top Dog. What could be better than 39 cent hot dogs and video games?

You know you're from Wilkes-Barre (or Scranton) when the word "hayna" is included in school vocabulary and spelling tests.
