What happened to the priest?
There was a priest that had a column in the Tribune and also substituted for the DV school district. He was on hmmmm .... sabbatical for awhile .... and has not returned.

Priests can go on sabbatical for as long as a year or more.

Thanks HOPES, I guess priests can go on sabbatical for longer than a year when they are charged with Child Pornography. It is amazing that parents that wish to volunteer to help in the classrooms have to go through a thorough background check and here you have a perverted priest teaching class.

notaclue...that's nothing new. It's only more visible now cuz of all the media attention that it's been given. But it's been going on for decades and cuz of their trusting nature parents are oblivious of what goes on when their kids go to Sunday bible study or other church functions.

Priests can go on sabbatical for longer than a year for any number of reasons---write a book, do research, etc.
Are you saying that you know for a fact that is the reason this priest went on sabbatical? If not, you're slandering him.
If this is fact, why didn't you state details in your initial post? Not everyone is up to date on the lastest priest scandals throughout the country.

I just don't understand it. I just do not understand.
I can TOTALLY understand it if a priest is looking at standard adult porn. That makes sense and really isn't something I would hold against someone - though supposedly a priest is supposed to be holier than the rest of us.
I will never, ever, ever understand the attraction to child porn and for that matter, pedophilia. I will never understand it, and don't want to understand it. I hope he goes to jail for a loooooooooooooong looooooooooooooooooooong time - like, so long that his next stop will be the graveyard.

It's disgusting..........the priest that lived in our neighborhood married an e-nun. Had 2 sons and he is serving time for having sex with both of them.
