No, that is a myth. Do YOU have a M.D. after your name? It is absolutely FALSE that you can get the flu from a flu shot. Find me any reputable source that says otherwise.

It may not be 100% proven as the cause, but it sure does raise a red flag.

I was at the dr. today, and got the regular flu shot. I asked about the H1N1. I was told the doctors can't get the vaccine in stock. "We can't get our hands on any."

The whole hoopla over the flu shot being too new is a scare tactic. Every year they create a new flu vaccine. It needs to be changed every year to prevent the type of flu that is expected to go around that year. The vaccine prevents more deaths than it causes. Children are at a great risk from this illness and putting the msg out there that the shot is "Too new" is dangerous. I am fairly sure I just got over H1NI I was very sick for 6 days. It was awful, not as simple as a little cold. I really felt like death and called my daughter and asked to to be sure to get the kids and herself shots asap. So far this year more people have been killed by this flu than all year with the other flu- and most of those are children. If you dont want to have the shot, fine but please dont try to scare other people from doing what is best for their child or themselves. You could end up with their blood on your hands.
