Its just too hard to change after so long. That pitcher LEE he is awsome though......Phillies could win just from his great pitching.......

Oh well...Pedro pitched a good game, Burnett just pitched a little better. The Phils are in good shape coming out of NY with a 1-1 tie, and with 3 games in Philly, they have home field advantage now. CBP will be rocking Saturday night...it won't be the quiet, blah, funeral atmosphere of the new Yankee Stadium.
Go PHILS! Beat the BANKEES!

Love that comment! If the Phillies can beat the Yankees, they should be so proud that they don't have to pay out the ridiculous $$ to win! Let's go Phillies!

I feel bad that I can't get into the World Series like I did in my youth. To give you an idea of my age, I remember when the World Series was played in the afternoons and it was a treat to have the teacher bring a TV into the classroom. I was a huge fanatic, both playing and watching it.
Now, multi-million dollar players batting .150. Outrageous ticket prices. 4 hour games because the batters and pitchers taking forever. Game delays for commercial breaks. It has simply gotten too boring and tedious.
To all of you who have the love of the game, I envy you. You either never had the knowledge of heroes that you could look up to, who played for the love of the game (versus the best money making contract), or you are able to overlook the decline of the All-American sport.

Not a Phillies fan, but I can't stand the Yankees. So, I guess I'm rooting for Philly. The Yankees have too many championships anyway and the Phillies are the defending champs, so it would be nice if they won it again.

I agree totally. I used to be into when I was younger also. I can't sit through a game anymore either. They start too late and end too late and are way too long and slow. The aura just isn't there anymore. I used to love watching the Yankees when I was kid in the late seventies. It has a lot to do with these pampered, over-paid players who seem to just want to collect a paycheck. Baseball is still my second favorite sport to hockey, but it has lost something over the years and the steroid scandal didn't help either.

Yes, thats so true..............I use to love to watch a good series game in the afternoon. What is with this "midnight" fare..........I turn off the set at midnight, no matter whos ahead, because I am up early no matter what. Its not my favorite sport........I just get into the quest of who wins the series.
It just does go too late, and gets too long.............
