I'm just wondering - why shouldn't the players make good money? THEY are the draw - not the advertisers, not the owners, not anyone but the players and the game. Why should the owners make a ton of money while the players are maligned for asking for their piece of the pie?

Burnett looked HELLA Good last night...

I think Petitte Beats Hamels... .. I think Sabathia beats blanton.... and then if burnett is the burnet of game 2?? NYY may be celebrating in Philly.

Obviously Philly is going to put up one nasty fight, i expect every game to be close and to go down to the wire.

I believe the players should benefit and make good money, but $17 million a year for one player to hit a ball with a bat? I believe that's way too much for one player to earn in a year to play baseball or any other sport for that matter. That's why baseball needs a salary cap to level the playing field and make a more competitive balance in the game. That's why I don't like the Yankees and rooting for the Phils in this one. The Phils are the defending champs, but because of the $ankees, they are the underdogs and I always go with the underdog.

I am rooting for the Phils. A salary cap is great - for ALL involved - including the owners.
