I'll tell a good spot to ride .. It takes you around Prompton lake and Dam .. Take Rt 170 off of rt 6 . Go just about 4 miles On the right you'll see Beach Grove Rd .make the right . go aprox 100 yards up the road and on the right you'll see the trail ( other cars are sometimes parked there as people walk the trail..) Its a good trail for a good rider ..

A mile up the road from Jim Thorpe is the trail head for the Switchback rail line trail. Gentle slope, about 10 feet wide gravel surface, runs from near Jim Thorpe up to the town of Summit Hill. Very easy ride, or outfitters in Jim Thorpe will drive you to Summit Hill, and you can coast down.
Now, there are all sorts of side trails off of the Switchback, which can get pretty gnarly, nice singletrack, etc

Also, there are lots of good single track in the PA state gamelands along route 903 north of Jim Thorpe. Last I rode there was 10 years ago, not sure if bikes are still welcome
