Does someone know why the Real Estate market info for Albrightsville PA goes like this:
Median years in residence 2.55 Homes Owned 34.10% Homes Rented 5.93% Homes Vacant 59.97%
I am looking to move soon and would like to get some info about this area. Thank you!!

Where did you get that data from? I dont think there is 59% of houses vacant.. I live in Towmensing Trails in Albrightsville.

It is a vacation/weekend getaway area. They maybe referring to homes that aren't lived in year round. I lived there for a brief time many years ago (20 yrs) but it was like that then.

Yes, that is a strange figure. Some homes in the lake communities are second homes.......
I don't see that many empty homes this way at all.

Smile Info on area of Albrightsville

Could you please tell me what utility companies are there? Maybe what property and school taxe are like?

Electric company is PA Power and Light. Cable provider is Blue Ridge Communications. Taxes is largely based on if you're in Monroe or Carbon County. The Indian Mountain Lakes development straddles the line. When we were looking a house in Carbon taxes averaged 4500. Across the street was Monroe tax area and we were looking at 7000 or more.

We bought a few miles up the road. I'm in Penn Forest Township on route 903. My address is Jim Thorpe.

we purchased in mt. pocohontas development and are in the Jim Thorpe school district. Do you have any personal experiences about it? I read mixed reviews.
