Does anyone know of a nice grove around Lackawanna county for a family reunion ?That we can possible bring our own covered dish?And big running area for the kids?We would like to rent for a day of course this summer.

Don't know about Lackawanna, but Francis Slocum park in Luzerne County has exactly what you're describing....covered areas that they rent out with picnic tables, etc. and lots of open space. They also have a beautiful pool. Might be worth checking out...it would only be about a 25 min. drive from Scranton

McDonnel's Grove and Munley's Grove are both in Lackawanna County. You might want to check the two of them out.

I like Pembrook Grove on 6 & 11 outside of Clarks Summit. There is a creek, baseball field, picnic tables and lots of room to roam. And above all cheap !! We have all of our family reunions there.
And you usually have it all to yourself.

The Lions Club also has a really nice grove with a pavillion in Ransom.

Do you know the phone # ,as I can't find it tried the phone book and directory assistance and no listing .tried looking for a website also .I think its maybe in La plum (sp)by keystone college .

Roaddog81 - Yes it is in LaPlume close to Keystone College. There is a very large sign on 6 & 11 advertising the grove. Next time I pass I will get the phone number and DM you !!
