I'd rather Directv, its a better product at a better price. But Comcast is the only internet service in this area that is worth the money. DSL is just too damn slow. I did see a deal through Verizon for home phone service and Directv that would cost 84.99 for a month for 2 years. Figure I'd stay with Comcast for internet at about 50 bucks a month, and 130-140/month is a better deal than 200. Plus, Directv now has the Genie, which is a whole-home DVR that works on all TVs in the house. Comcast's DVR and equipment is outdated by at least 10 years, and they rape you on monthly charges for equipment. $50 of my monthly Comcast bill is just equipment charges.

The only reason I'm still with Comcast is for CSN-Philly to watch Phillies games, but at this point, I'm not sure I'm willing to pay another 60 bucks a month for some Phillies games, when 2-3 games a week are on the local WQMY anyways.
DSL isn't a speed. What DSL speed/provider are you referring to? Why is it too slow (what do you do?). Just wondering...

DSL speeds are slower than cable....the max I have seen available for Verizon DSL is 7 mb, which is probably usable for most people. What you can get at your house depends on your distance from the "central office." Verizon's 1.1-3mb service is the max I can get at my house....too slow for Netflix, Xbox Live, etc. A step above dial-up, but nowhere near cable.
