We are relocating to PA from Long Island, and are looking probably in Mountain Top, though are still open to other areas within 20 miles of the airport.
Our current library and county offer many free, or very cheap, programs for children - story times, crafts, music... Does Mountain Top or any of the surrounding areas do such things? They were a great way for me to meet other mothers and make some friends here and NEED something like that when I move there.

Mountain Top is home to the Sutherland Library along Kirby Avenue. I'm not sure how many of the programs are free, but I do know that the facility is well-received and well-utilized by the community.

There's also a "Welcome Wagon" group in Mountain Top that reaches out to the many new transplants that are now calling the community home. I couldn't find a web site for it though.

When my kids were little and I lived in Mountain Top the Welcome Wagon was a lifesaver. They have playgroups, moms groups etc... Most of the people who join are transplants as well and very friendly.
