Are you serious? I live near Bushkill so this really stinks. I hope it's a false alarm.

Not usually when it comes over the NOAA radio. I am a storm tracker. I did not believe the radio during the summer while boating and paid for it.

Get home, bring out the hot chocolate and let's have some fun!!!

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to
1 PM EST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow... which is in effect from 4 PM this
afternoon to 1 PM EST Wednesday.

Low pressure moving northeast along the East Coast will bring a
mix of light snow and light rain to the area this afternoon. The
precipitation will become steadier and heavier late this
afternoon... continuing into Wednesday morning. At lower
elevations... a mix of rain and snow will change to all snow this
evening and continue overnight. At higher elevations... the
precipitation will be mainly snow. Storm total accumulations by
noon Wednesday will range from around 5 inches at lower
elevations... to 10 inches over higher terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow are forecast
that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. In
addition... heavy... wet snow will produce scattered power outages
across the area.

Yes, I watched WNEP this morning and they were talking about everthing other than the weather.

Better check to make sure flights are still going. Not worth it when the weather is so bad and if it is ice (I hear reports of ice in Rockland).
