Here is the kind of ridiculous story that just makes me roll my eyes. I think the Lord has enough of a budget to make a better entrance than in a bucket of pizza sauce in West Side. Looks like yet another thing to make Scranton the butt of jokes...

I think I saw Jesus walking into Brunetti's. Seriously, this is a silly story and makes you laugh. I guess it's better than hearing about murder, rape. pedophiles and the decline of our nation. I don't need to see Jesus on the side of a sauce bucket to believe. But if it made one person believe, then more power to them. We all need Jesus made more noticeable in our everyday lives.

How embarrassing is it that the newspaper in this town actually believes this to be front page news. I heard that the staff writer, Jeremy Burton, is actually Batboy.

This article belongs in a tabloid....although you might find more truth in the National Enquirer than you will in the Scranton Times.

It really should not be front page news, but this is Scranton, where nothing makes sense.

On another tangent. If there are pictures appearing in the sauce,...thats old rancid sauce. So it might be jesus trying to save people from botulism.

I always find these "sightings" and people's reactions to them rather absurd. However, in reading this story - about how the granddaughter, a single mother at 23 years old, was afraid she was losing her faith and then having this image appear - I have to admit it gave me goose bumps. It's just a reminder to us that Jesus does come to us when we need him most, even if it's in something outwardly silly like a bucket of sauce.

I watched the video and found myself smiling/chuckling as I was thinking that it looks like "Jesus" is wearing a fake nose/glasses/mustache combination. Jesus imitating Groucho Marx?

I admit, this is pretty funny.

Would it have been front page news if it were, for example, Hitler? Probably not

I personally think a lot of the rude commentary below the article was unncessary and uncalled for. How can anyone not be touched by this story? A young mother is depressed. Her grandmother tells her to stay positive and that God works in mysterious ways, and then this young girl sees an apparition of whom she assumes to be Christ himself in a sauce bucket. Even though I think it looks more like your typical resident of Edwardsville, Noxen Township, or Carbondale than our Redeemer if something like this helped to bring a family close together, renewed their faith, and gave this young woman reason to be happy, then why fault them?
