Unemployment appeal for f/t wages
So, I got laid off of my job I worked at for 14 yrs in feb. I was told to file immediately for unemployment, so i did. I worked f/t until may of 2007 after return from a maternity leave i asked my supervisor if i could cut my hours for 6 months, which i did and worked 64 hrs every 2 weeks. In december I went to my sup. and ask when I could start working f/t and was told my job title was changed and my position was now p/t. On May 17th 2009 A job was created for me to work f/t in a different department. I again ws pregnant and went on maternity leave jun 10th(baby was born june 13th), and I returned to my ft job in late sept. I worked f/t from them (plus ot in every week) and was laid off in feb. My determination was babsed on oct 08-sept 09??? I called unemployment and ? this and they told me i could not appeal because i would have to file in april to use oct nov dec wages. I have my appeal hearing on monday and I need to know what to do...can I win my f/t wages? please help thank you.

What they told you is correct according to the the PA unemployement page.

I doubt you will win the appeal, but doesn't hurt to try!

I worked for the unemployment office, sorry I wasn't here in time to help !! At this point you probably lost your appeal. Your benefits are based on your high quarters in your base year, so if your last high quarter is Oct, Nov. Dec. than there is nothing anyone can do, its the law !!

muchapp - Under the Pennsylvania UC Law, a base year is the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters prior to the quarter in which the claim was filed.
