Never heard that one before. Kind of a busy spot for ghosts. However, I could imagine a tale of someone driving past it late at night (Southbound of course) who looks in the rear view mirror and sees johnny reb sitting in the back seat....

I heard about that same thing from some interns walking around the Capitol. Went away after Reps. Foley and Massa left town.

I went on a ghost tour of old town Occoquan in several years ago where you did a walking tour during the evening, and they told you the stories of what happened in many of the old houses and what haunted them.

Actually, found a link on this website:
Historic Town of Occoquan

The Ghost Tour is Alexandria is fun also (you have a choice of I believe East or West?) - We liked the one over the other (ask which does the Ice House and ends up at the graveyard). Not sure how true it is but it is an interesting little walk.

My mom-in-law moved in with us for two months when her house was being rebuilt. That haunted me for the rest of my life!
