Looks like we will finally be making the move to NoVA and now we have everything to do in a HURRY. Any suggestions on the best price and service for lining up TV, internet and phone, perhaps in a bundle. Anyone have any experience with Vonage? Thanks

We had very bad experience with Dish Network and Verizon internet. Their customer service is terrible.
Verizon wireless did not work from time to time, and it took 2-3 weeks to get someone to come "fix" it, and then it would not work again.
Dish cable would not work during storms. (we live in West Falls Church)

When we called and cancelled their services, both companies kept sending us bills for the service for periods after the cancellation dates. We spent hours on the phone with them to have it "resolved", then we would get yet another bill for services we never received.

Oh, and if you decide to go with Dish anyway, there is an option in the initial contract to not get it for 2 years. We checked that box, and that saved us about $200 in cancellation fees, when we decided to cancel. That's why it was so hard to cancel it - they just did not want to give up their fee. They said they did not have a copy of the contract, and refused to get our copy mailed or faxed to them. Every single time we called, customer service person would say that we never cancelled the services, then they would "find" it in their notes, but there was something else, and something else, and we would get another bill.

Sorry for the long post, but we could not be unhappier with both Dish or Verizon wireless.

A lot depends on where you live.

Alexandria City- Comcast or Verizon without FIOS.
Arlington- Comcast, I've heard there is some FIOS in parts of Arlington.
Fairfax County- Cox or Verizon.

As for recommendations; Comcast is better called C#*@cast, it was that bad, we had cable. Verizon is so-so for internet. Cox was decent when we had it, but this was when we lived in Southern VA and it was for TV only.

Since we moved to Kentucky we went straight to DirecTV and couldn't be happier.
