Business Incubator to Help Local Entrepreneurs
Leesburg’s Economic Development Commission just finalized the plans for The Mason Enterprise Center, which will be opening on King Street later this year. The center will house up to 20 small-to mid-size companies that are preparing to launch into a larger market.
This program helps local businesses in the initial stages of development. They get services such as an administrator to take their calls and collect mail, and a connection to the Loudoun Small Business Development Center, which provides information on how to get loans or do business with the government.
Lots of people are moving here because one member of a household has a new job in the area. The hope is the spouse will be interested in opening a local business. I think this "business incubator" is a great idea. And hey, maybe it will lead to more "foodie" restaurants and specialty stores opening up.
