Does anybody have any experience using these house cleaning services: Maid Bright or Cleaning Authority?

Thanks,
K

So let me pose this question in a different manner: Would you go with a nation-wide company or with a company that only works in NoVA?

I would probably look for an independent cleaning service and not a chain. I've used "private" people in the past and have been happy. I like knowing I'm going to have the same person come to my house every week, be able to get in touch with THAT person if I have to.

We had Cleaning Authority for a while - didn't last. They weren't very careful when they cleaned.

Do you know if this was the Chantilly office? I am leaning towards Maid Bright because they are local and were ranked high by Angie's List and Neighbor's Network. Moreover, Maid Bright is accredited by the BBB, while the Chantilly office of the Cleaning Authority isn't.

Do not do Cleaning Authority.... We used them back in 2004-2005 and I know one of the ladies stole one of my bottle of perfume ( I had two bottles that looked the same but one was different than the other: I kept track each time because I love my perfumes and noticed one was missing- I think they think I wouldn't noticed) I didn't report it, only because I had the another one stashed somewhere else- ( I used to direct sell the beautyline) we just found another company..

I would suggest Maid Bright. They are a local cleaning company. I have been using Maid Bright since 2006.
I am extremely happy with service. Most of the time I am having the same cleaning crew. They bring all the cleaning equipment and supplies. They clean my house every other week. They call ahead of time if they are running late.
The quality is consistent. Each time they clean my house top to bottom. They even change the linens if I leave them out.
Highly recomended.
A M.(Reston)

I have used cleaning authority in other locations, and wasn't overly happy. I use a local company, I talk to the boss when I call, and I seem to get the same people when they come...which is today...YEAH!

What are their prices like? (Maid Bright)?

I used to use a woman that was recommended from a friend. She did a great job but she didn't speak english and she moved back to El Salvador...so, I'm in the market for a new company (person).

We recently started with a small local company but I am not sure how long I will stick with them. One woman comes and she does an okay job but we have had other services in other locations that have been much better. I'll be curious to know how you make out with your selection if you don't mind posting..
