Oh, I have alternative names for 66, but it wouldn't be very polite to list them here

To the OP, when I first moved here I got a bit confused by changing road names and like others said, I gave up on names in favor of numbers. I seem to remember a lot of similar road names too, but for the life of me, I can't think of them now.

Why not? I grew up with Routes 322 and 30 in South Jersey and they are covered in traffic lights. Route 1 going through NJ has tons of lights, and Route 98 in Florida does also.

I think you're confusing "rural routes" with "routes". Routes do have lights. I don't think rural routes have stop lights.
