Default Weather?????

OMgoodness will the heat never go away? It will be hotter here the next 3 days than in El Paso, TX. I can't believe it is fall already and still this hot. I so want to turn off the a/c

Seriously? It has been absolutely GORGEOUS the last couple of weeks. We haven't had the air conditioning on for weeks. This is as good as it gets in NOVA. If you don't like this weather, you are in for a tough year. :-)

Well then I am guessing it must be hotter out in Stafford than Vienna, we are supposed to hit 95 here on Friday, that does not speak fall weather to me. Weekend before last it was beautiful but then this last week has been hot, hoping the weather forecast holds true and it actually cools down on Sunday like it is supposed to. There is no way we could be without our a/c this last week or this week.

Septembers are typically still very humid and often hot; I feel this year's has been more mild. My A/C hasn't been running for the week.

I was actually thinking last Sept was actually nice, but since I have only been in NOVA 2 Sept's I am hardly the expert on the weather. I do know according to the radio station I listen to, they are expecting record highs this week, at least out here in Stafford.

lol, this is absolutely the best time of year. Sure, it'll hit into the 90's for a short period, but there's usually a breeze and it's quite nice. I just commented this morning that we haven't been running the AC for several days, and the house is holding steady in the low 70's.

well then it must be my house because it has just been to uncomfortable to open the windows, I guess I just wasn't expecting temps in the 90's at the end of Sept. Oh well the weather is showing a definate cooling off next week, now if we could just get the allergies under control so I am comfortable enough to open the windows

It's not just you! Granted, I live in a high-rise, but if I turned off the A/C, my apartment would definitely heat up to at least 80. I'm really annoyed by the weather forecast for the last couple of days, and am not happy with the worsening drought conditions, either. We've only had one day of appreciable rain in the last month, I think.

Oh yeah, I can't ever open windows for the exact reason you specified! If I do, my furniture will be covered in a lovely pollen mist, and my husband and I will single handedly be supporting the company that makes Claritin D!

I agree with OP, this September seems hotter than normal (I've been here 7 years). Indeed, all the weather guys are saying it's warmer than normal. I can't wait for true fall weather, either- I think it's the loveliest time of year in the DC area. Fall will come, we just have to be patient!
