We take this tour every year and it's a lot of fun. Just thought I'd post it here.

Fall in the Loudoun Valleys is beautiful. The colorful trees of the Blue Ridge, Short Hill and Sugarloaf Mountains set the stage for your self-guided tour of several farms in Loudoun’s countryside. Visit with animals. Choose apples, pumpkins, trees and more from the bounty of the fall harvest. Visit the farms and talk to the proprietors about their specialty products.brochure.

We like the alpaca farms. My one tip is to pick no more than 4-5 places to visit because it can get overwhelming to try to do too many.

I've been to some charity events at Ayrshire Farm. That's a neat place, but since I haven't been to most of the other places, I think I might want to try something new. Of this list, which five or six would you recommend visiting? Also, what is the Philomont General Store like?
