I like the Grey Ghost, it is on 211 a little west of Warrenton.

No love for Oasis here?

*ducks*

(FYI, it is owned or at least disputed -- apparently there are two competing websites for the winery -- by the Salahis, and claims to be re-opening in October. While it's in Fauquier, the Salahis are Warren County's most famous residents. I even taught at Tareq's alma mater, Randolph-Macon Academy. Their former attorney was a senior when I was a freshman in HS and is a FB friend of mine. I feel important! )

Speaking of Naked Mountain, does anyone know if and when they'll be getting in a fresh shipment of "Drink Naked" bumper stickers? I want one for my Mazda, but, alas, whenever we go there they have none left!

I think that's personally a matter of opinion; however, I will say that Bluemont Vineyard has the most breathtaking views I've ever seen in this entire region.

Years ago we liked their wine but the family has been fighting for so long, I wouldn't count on anything that they produce. I also wouldn't count on them opening in October. I thought the Salahis, Tareq and Michaela lived at the vineyard. Is that not true?

Better than Hillsborough and Breaux? In what county is Bluemont Vineyard?

In my opinion? Yes. The vineyard is sited at such a high elevation that on a clear day you can see for many miles. It's gorgeous. As OrangeFish said it's in Western Loudoun. If you're heading on Route 7 West you'll make a left just before ascending Clarke's Gap into Clarke County.

They live outside Linden, in Warren County.
