Hi,

Just moved to Fairfax and need recommendations on a good Vet Clinic. I have driven by an extremely nice Vet hospital, looks brand new, but it's so nice that I am expecting it to be super expensive too.

So anyone know of a great doctor that isn't extremely expensive or extremely cheap. I have 2 dogs so it can get expensive but I don't want some old school vet either.

I appreciate any input.
Thank you!

I take my 1-year-old dog to Columbia Pike in Annandale (they've recently finished an expansion remodel, but that's their boarding/surgical/post-surgery wing, not for regular appoiintments). We see Dr. Collada, a terrific, patient guy

I took my 2 cats to Pender vet near Fair Oaks mall. They were good with my cats. They both had fleas which were in our apartment when we moved in...at least that is what we are suspecting since neither had fleas until we moved there. But Pender did a good job with our cats.

If you are talking about the one on Fairfax Blvd - Town & Country, then yup, we use them. My husband does the dog visits (hard to drag two children in with two dogs). They've been good to us since moving here a little over a year ago. Prices seem reasonable and the vet that he's taken them to is good. Not sure on the name.

We switched to Town & Country a little over a year ago because their prices were more reasonable than the vet we had been using. Dr. Cheramie is great.

I used to use Pender but they've turned so corporate that I just can't stomach it anymore.

Never been there, but I've heard great things about Town & Country from a dog forum when I was looking for a vet. They were too far for me, but others gave them high marks.

Another suggestion: Austin Veterinary Clinic, on Little River Turnpike in Annandale (it's tucked behind Jerry's Subs). My neighbor takes her yellow Lab there, and she went there previously with another dog.
