Yeah and that was from 08 ... you'd have to fight hunt country types in NW Fauquier if you did anything significant to the lines there. Commuter rail? GASP.

Imagine though if that Culpeper cut-off was built. NS could sell their lines from DC-Culpeper and Manassas-Front Royal to VRE.

I'd support that, pending if the Manassas-Front Royal route gets double-tracked and gets straightened out in some areas.

Lightbulb actual question was...

The op was asking if vre is considering adding a few more rail cars to the busiest trains to alleviate the heavy congestion. The 4pm train on Fridays is a joke. Would it cost that much to add a couple cars on the busiest four trains??
