UGH - Hubby rolled his ankle while going down our stairs. It's swollen on the outside of his ankle bone & he can hardly put any pressure on it, much less, walk. I'm afraid it's fractured. Please recommend your Orthopedist - preferably in the Sterling/Reston area. Thanks!

Commonwealth Orthopedics

They have an office near you. My GP recommended them for some joint problems I had.

Why aren't you taking him to the nearest ER?

Believe me, I tried. But he is stubborn & wouldn't go. He's icing it & has it elevated for now - he thinks it will miraculously be OK in the morning. I'm hoping to get him to the Orthopedist tomorrow, as I know from experience, that ankle isn't going to feel much better in the morning.

I have one of those too, believes in overnight healing. Try Randall Peyton, he's on Ridgetop Circle in Sterling, 703-444-5000. If he's not available there are others in the practice.

I just wanted to second the Commonwealth Orthopedics recommendation. I am a big fan of Dr. Annuziata at the Tyson's location. I hope your husband feels better.
