Yes, especially on the part of the park that is north of Rt. 29. There are so many trails that you can sometimes even let your dog run free on the ones that are less used.

OK, this isn't Fairfax County, but on a gorgeous day like today I'd take my dog up into the Shenandoah Mountains. There are some trails with incredible views, especially up along Skyline Drive in the National Park.
