yeah, probably.

Does culpepper actually have a bustling street life? Even if hyp couple does not move there, it might make an interesting day trip.

I don't really know what you are asking, but our daughter lives there and we go with her daughter downtown to the movies and there are cute shops downtown and a bakery that is beyond description. In other words, there are shopping centers, but people actually still go downtown.

Amtrak is within walking distance to where she lives also. I love to visit Culpeper.

But to people just drive downtown, get out of their car to get something, and then get back into their car? Do you really see people walking around downtown? Like say in Fredericksburg or Leesburg, or better yet like Old Town Alex?

Speaking of small cities/large towns. Where does Manassas fit into that?

Just curious, as an outside observer...

Culpeper????? No. We've already noted Reston is too far, and Culpeper is more than twice the distance of Reston. You'd have to drive more than an hour from Reston to commute to the Navy Yard, and Culpeper is another 90 minutes west (and south) of Reston.

If you're working at the Navy Yard, you need to stick with places inside the beltway or along a metro line.

Manassas is another town that's way too far to commute to the Navy Yard.

Meaning, most proposals are really pie in the sky wish lists that are utter B.S.

Hey that streetcar line may happen, but if anyone moves there expecting it to happen, you may be in for a long wait.

Not by any stretch of the imagination could Old Town Manassas be described as "urbanish"

Looks like there really isn't any place in Virginia that would work for hyp couple. Thinking way outside the box, they might want to follow Joe Biden's example and live in Delaware. It would be a long train ride to work in the morning, but otherwise Wilmington works for their interests.
