Im thinking about moving to herndon and working in chantilly. About how long of a commute would that be. I know VA 28 is a parking lot during rush hour, but I was hoping to get a good time estimate, or any shortcuts. Thanks.

28 north actually isn't bad at all in the late afternoon during rush hour until you hit VA-267... things get backed up starting around there because of the Waxpool exit a couple miles ahead, but still move slowly but slowly (unless there's an accident or something). That shouldn't be a bad commute at all.

A lot depends on what time you leave, etc. It's not as bad a parking lot as you think. You could be moving to Manassas and then it can get pretty bad...and or pretty long. But, my husband commutes in prime rush hour in the evenings....can take him anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes but remember - we live in Manassas so your commute will be way less. In the mornings it must not be too bad because he doesn't talk about it much. I think he leaves around 5:30am and in the evenings anywhere between 4:30 and 5:15pm.
