Just wondering if there are any awesome Thrift shops or Goodwill's. You know they kind where they obnoxiously wealthy drop off practically new woman's and mens clothing. suits, some designer stuff, nice dress shirts.. (brooks Brothers)

There are consignment shops all over Old Town Alexandria that offer fashionable items. Granted, they might not be re-sold at the same bargain level as a Goodwill, but you would have plenty of options to choose from.

There are some consignment shops and second hand stores in Old Town either on or on side streets off of King Street where you can find stuff like that. There's a fairly new Goodwill store down toward Mount Vernon on Route 1 along with a Thrift Store on Sherwood Hall Lane near Route 1 that's been here forever. There's also a Salvation Army Store on Little River Turnpike in Annandale that might have some of that too.

I didn't know about that new Goodwill store. However, I don't know if I would count on that Sherwood Hall Lane thrift shop for anything particularly fashionable. It's not the most pleasant place to shop IMO.

I've had better luck nosing around the Goodwills in Arlington & Falls Church (Glebe & 50 for Arl, and across the parking lot from the Safeway & Target in FC).

I also wanted to recommend the Salvation Army on Little River Turnpike. I usually go there for the books. They have a very large clothing section. You can find some good deals there. I found a Burberry Trench there which I love. I was in line and this lady said she bought all her son's dress shirts there.

Arlington, Old Town, they are both fine for me to drive around too since I'm just visiting.
