They are really helpful and keep a card of each child to monitor growth and change in their feet/shoes. The lady there was very helpful when we went and took a lot of time to look at my child's feet and see which pair of shoes fit her best. See their reviews online and you'll see others say the same thing.

Sounds like a great option too. Any ideas as to the brands they carry? while I don't want to spend alot of money, I do like my good brands

I don't remember which brands they carry other than they had a few Stride Rite ones that I was looking at for my toddler. They had many others though too. You could call and find out to decide if it's worth the trip over there.

OUCH! I had that years ago and it was awful, especially when I got up in the morning and after sitting for a long time. I learned to stretch, big time, before I did any walking, so that I never got it again. If I had to sit I'd roll around a tennis ball under my feet, or constantly flexed and stretch. Good luck to you. It seemed liked it took forever for it to get better.

yeah well maybe I should also be asking for a podiatrist. I stretch every day and have had two cortisone shots, one which worked for about a month, another that didn't work at all.

I don't think that a podiatrist can help but they know more than I do. From what I've read, it's just time, and being conscious of stretching everyday before walking. That's what it took for me. Naproxen and Ibuprofen also helped when it was really bad. After a year and half, it might be time to see a podiatrist and see if he/she can help. Might you have a heal spur? I am assuming that you have googled it so I won't bother sending any links.

This Friday is the jam session at the Old Furniture Factory. Are you and the kids going? I think we'll be there and my friend will be playing.
