Hi, was just wondering if anyone might hopefully have some local NOVA real estate lawyers, that they might recommend as reputable? If so, could you please list?

(AFAIK, I don't believe I am violating the TOS by asking, just because a C-D forum search showed that other C-D members, asked similar questions...please forgive in advance though, if asking this is disallowed.)

Here's a gem of a real estate lawyer, Andrew Lawrence, located in Fairfax (across from the courthouse). I have used him for years (though I have no affiliation with his office that benefits me in any way!). Although I haven't had a need for his services the past two or three years, I used to deal with him all the time (more than 10 years) and his rates are very reasonable, he's honest, a family man and is not looking to retire from your real estate transaction. He can handle your real estate closings or landlord/tenant issues. Did I tell you what a stand-up guy he is? Not showy (he used to drive a very old volvo) - what does that tell you?

Many thx no1problemsolver for the helpful recommendation!

ETA: just wanted to double-check, the person you had recommended is "Andrew G. Lawrence" right? Thanks again!

The Title companies (MBH, RGS, Key, Champion, First American, etc) all have real estate attorneys on staff. I can recommend Paul Pelish in Leesburg, but that's a little distant from McLean.

I would recommend Susan Pesner at Pesner Kawamoto & Conway; her office is in Tysons (close to McLean).

We have used Karen Day with Absolute Title & Escrow (Old Town, Alexandria) twice as a settlement attorney and have been happy with the services provided. I believe she has a real estate practice in addition to her settlement company, although we have not used those services.
