I know it is a Federal Holiday on Friday, but the post offices and banks (according to some of the Federal Reserve holiday schedules) seem to be operating tomorrow, but closed on Saturday. I could find BB&T's schedule. They are following the Federal Reserve schedule.

I have Googled "2010 holiday schedule" for Bank of America and SunTrust, but I'm not getting good hits.

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

I would assume they are.

Since banks are open on Saturday, then they get Saturday for the holiday. Offices, that are normally not open on Saturday, get their holiday to use on Friday.

But banks have such odd hours you never know. It wouldn't surprise me if they operated under Saturday hours for tomorrow.

Thanks, ChristineVA. I'm so accustomed to institutions following the Federal Holiday guidelines (except retail) that I automatically assumed that the banks and post offices would be closed tomorrow as well as Saturday, but that has not been the case this year with the Holidays falling on a Saturday. I think I better do any banking I need to get done today before 2 p.m.

Happy New Year!

Yeah, I was a little confused on Christmas Eve when the mailman delivered mail. I think of them as Federal workers but they really are different since Saturday is a workday for them.
