Moving back to the area and looking at Arlington (Yorktown school triangle) and Falls Church. Would love to have some input on schools. Have elementary, middle and high school students and looking for great teachers, challenging curriculum, and no gang activity . Thanks for your help!

My friend moved her daughter into the Yorktown school district almost 10 years ago and is very happy. Her daughter is now a sophmore. She researched the best schools and then found a house.

Yorktown and George Mason are some of the last schools I'd worry about for gang activity. Both are among the top 10 HS in Northern VA in terms of SAT scores.

I'm more familiar with George Mason than I am with Yorktown though I assume it's very good as well. George Mason offers the International Baccalaureate program in addition to the regular curriculum. The young men and women I've known from there all were high achievers but also very well rounded individuals and all spoke highly of their high school experience.
