The residence, when complete, will be larger than both The White House and Bill Gates' house. Hmmmm....huge house, concrete walls, middle of nowhere...far away from here...does he know something we don't???

The size of the home is indeed stupid, but "middle of nowhere"? "What a waste"? (To the latter comment - if you're referring to the size of the home, I heartily agree.) But in any case, I'd leave here to return to central/southern MO in a heartbeat.

Heh heh heh... Highlandville (the site of the home - a literal dot-on-the-map of less than 1k people) is a few minutes shy of *four hours* (driving time) from KC, though.

Yeah, I was totally referring to the monstrosity of the house, not at all the location.

Hey it's only money, it's not like you can take it with you when you're dead right? I'm sure just building the thing the guy is stimulating the local economy!

Turns out the person of that same name in Leesburg has lots of family in Missouri. Sadly, I found that out reading an obituary about their son, who passed away last August. So I guess the conspiracy theorists can put the bunker theory to rest (not you posters here, but posts I've seen on other websites). Regardless, it is a monster of a home. I guess they plan to have a lot of family reunions.

I wonder if he's having his non-profit build this:

Huff Family Foundation - Leesburg, Virginia (VA) | Company Profile

Good way to hide income...
