Does anyone know if there is a power plant on Linton Hall Rd across from the Bridlewood community in Gainesville, VA. We are worried about exposure from living close to such strong power lines.

Nope, no power plant there. I do recall talk of developing one on the site of the recycling facility on Balls Ford Road but have heard nothing since of any progress on that.

There is a major set of power lines running through the area which crosses Linton Hall near Bridlewood and continues down a right-of-way, crossing over Rte 66 near exit 44.

You only have a risk from living directly under the power lines. The radiation that they generate dissipates withing a few hundred feet. Which is why when you see high-tension wires running through a community there is a few hundred feet of clearance to either side of the poles. Even living directly next to a power plant, the areas where the power actually leaves the plant is either underground and shielded or cleared where the lines leave the plant above ground. You are more likely to experience adverse effects from using a cellphone too often or watching a cathode-ray tube TV too closely.

Actually, there is a power plant of sorts on that property. There are some large backup power generators for the data center that resides there. I think they are seldom used (probably only tested once in a while) since you'll definitely hear those when they're fired up. The location next to the power lines is also intentional, since the data center has it's own substation to power all that hardware.
