Live in north Arlington and we had a large tree branch fall and swipe our house. Some minor damage considering what coulda happened. 15 minutes later another branch fell on our car in the driveway. Fwiw, this tree is on county property and over the summer I called the tree removal service to ask for a trimming as branches are overgrown and groing into power lines that are over it. They kept promising me they were coming and never did.

I just called the county's emergency tree removal number and they came out to asses the tree and said they'd be out to remove it probably in the morning and I thanked the guy and he left. About an hour later I got a call from the tree dept and had a different man tell me that as soon as it fell on my property it wasn't the county's responsibility. Any guidance would be appreciated.
